Episode 3 - Soul Blazer

Better late than never is a poor excuse, and we can only hope you can reach into your deep, forgiving hearts and check out the latest episode (pun intended) of the RetroGame FunClub. Listen as your hosts Ben "Ben Pack" Pack, Russ "Rush" Walsh, and Jordan "Ragin Canadjin" Wasilka wax philosophical on the Super Nintendo RPG, Soul Blazer.

This episode includes, but is not limited to, talk of James Brown, why Jordan hates fun, Sword Jesus, brown notes, Jet Force Gemini, and next show's games. Speaking of which, make sure to come back soon for the poll results for the next episode's game. Also, stay tuned for possible big news for the RGFC. Like always you can find us here on our webspace, our email, on twitter @RGFClub (or use the hashtag #RGFC) or on the Facebook. As for now, listen up and keep Blazin'. SOOOOOUUUUUL BLAAAAZIIIN'.

That’s right, folks! The RGFC has already begun blazing through their latest retro-jam, and, lo and behold, you've selected the cult classic clothing simulator, Soul Blazer. Prepare for the unrivaled arcade action as you play the blazer of the Godfather of Soul himself, James Brown. You'll jam out to over 40 Brown classics while protecting “Soul Brother Number One” from the onslaught of incoming fan projectiles. Build up your combo meter to activate SOUL-verdrive.

Playing this game along with us? Be sure to send your feedback to RetroGameFunClub@Gmail.com , tweet us or use the Hash Tag #RGFC on Twitter. Any comment is a helpful contribution.

Update: Actually, it’s a Zelda-inspired dungeon crawler developed by Quintet and published by Enix for the SNES. Who knew? Remember kids, be on the look out for [citation needed] whenever browsing Wikipedia.
