Listen to the rise of the RetroGame FunClub—a new comedic, videogame-based show that drops the insipid, inane plots of other various programs and delivers nothing but strictly extreme, bare-knuckle retro-videogame humor patently designed to make your brain smart. Each week we'll play a different retro game chosen by our fans via polling, discussing both the game and our fans' tweets and e-mails on the show.

In this introductory episode we learn to groove with the help Jesse “Main Finger” Gregory’s delightful opening jam “A Noble Sacrifice”, say hello, make a few Banjo & Kazooie jokes, go over the show's format, pull some plugs, sell out within minutes and close things out with the morose tones of “The Brink of Time”, another Main Finger cover, this time from Chrono Trigger.

Shownotes:

-Gunstar Heroes is in fact, available for purchase on Sony’s PSN, along with XBLA and the Virtual Console. If you're truly retro, you can also play it on its original platform, the Sega Genesis.

-Unfortunately, Gunstar Heroes definitely did not make its way on to Sonic’s Ultimate Genesis Beach Party, which is, by the way, a TWO THUMBS UP GAME BOX COLLECTION.

-You can catch Jesse at his blog WingDamage and find his music at the Mainfinger blog.
